Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: September 25, 2026

01

Information

We collect information you provide when you call, text, request service, provide photos after we request them, communicate with our team, or use a lead-generation website, plus limited technical and communication-delivery data.

02

Purpose

We use information to respond, provide and document services, communicate with authorized parties, secure our operations, protect legitimate rights and reputational interests, and meet legal obligations.

03

Your choices

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited identifiers and online activity for advertising, including cross-context behavioral advertising. Where applicable, you may opt out of sharing and may request access, correction, or deletion.

Scope and who we are

SAFENEST Restoration California Corporation (collectively, “SAFENEST,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides restoration services using the SAFENEST Trademark, Logo and Mascot under License. This Privacy Policy applies when you visit SafeNest.com or another Company page that links to this policy; communicate through the SAFENEST Restoration Lead Communication Integration; interact with us through any lead-generation websites, including our websites, or through search, advertising, review, marketplace, referral, social-media, or messaging services; contact us by phone, text, email, or a website form; request an inspection, estimate, or service; or otherwise interact with us in connection with our restoration services.

This policy applies to SAFENEST’s handling of information after it is provided to us or received by a system operated for us. It does not govern the independent practices of a third-party website, platform, insurer, referral partner, or service that maintains its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

Contact and identity information

Your name, phone number, email address, service or mailing address, ZIP code, and communication preferences.

Property and service information

Descriptions of damage, affected rooms, dates and causes of loss, property details, requested services, appointment information, estimates, invoices, and job records.

Photos, audio, video, and communications

Images or recordings we request and you choose to provide, or that you authorize us to create; call and text metadata such as telephone number, caller identification, date, time, duration, routing, and disposition; live call audio; call recordings, transcripts, and summaries when applicable; text messages; email content, headers, attachments, and delivery information; website-form submissions; chat, social-media, messaging-app, or platform messages; notes; and other communications or information you choose to provide.

Claim and authorized-party information

Insurance carrier, claim number, adjuster or property-manager contact details, coverage-related documents, and instructions when you ask us to coordinate with another party.

Transaction information

Services requested or purchased, payment status, and related business records. Payment-card details may be processed directly by a payment provider rather than stored by us.

Technical website information

Internet Protocol address, device and browser type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate region derived from an IP address, access time, and security or error logs generated by hosting systems.

Lead and communication-system information

Inquiry and conversation context, project location, service needs and timing, phone and email messages and responses, photos and files, platform or profile identifiers, referral and attribution details, technical delivery records, and internal conversation status, follow-up, routing, and scheduling records.

Phone calls, AI-based voice assistance, and transcription

Calls to SAFENEST may be answered or assisted by an AI-based voice assistant. The assistant may acknowledge a request, collect relevant service and property details, answer general questions, help coordinate scheduling or follow-up, summarize the conversation, and route the caller to SAFENEST personnel. A caller may ask to speak with a person or use another published communication channel.

To understand and respond during a call, the voice system and its service providers may process live audio and temporarily convert speech to text. At or before the beginning of an AI-assisted call, we will provide notice that automated systems may process the conversation. When applicable law requires consent for live processing, recording, or transcription of a confidential telephone conversation, we will obtain that consent before the covered activity occurs. Declining recording or transcription does not prevent you from contacting us through another available channel.

Where a call recording or transcript was lawfully created, SAFENEST may retain and use it when reasonably necessary for dispute resolution and to protect SAFENEST’s safety, legal rights, legitimate business interests, and reputation, subject to applicable law and the communication-retention provisions below. This includes investigating and responding to a review, complaint, dispute, allegation, or claim. Retaining a recording or transcript for evidentiary or dispute-resolution purposes does not necessarily mean that SAFENEST will publicly disclose the recording, transcript, or the customer’s personal information. Retention and public disclosure are separate issues. Any disclosure will be evaluated separately under the “When we disclose or share information” section, appropriately limited or redacted where reasonable, and made only when permitted by applicable law. We will not use recordings or transcripts to retaliate against or suppress an honest opinion or truthful information.

Messages, written communications, and lead requests

Where SAFENEST lawfully receives a voicemail; text/SMS or multimedia/MMS message; email; website form or lead request; chat, social-media, messaging-app, or platform message; or another written or electronic communication, SAFENEST may retain and use that communication when reasonably necessary for dispute resolution and to protect SAFENEST’s safety, legal rights, legitimate business interests, and reputation, subject to applicable law and the communication-retention provisions below. This includes investigating and responding to reviews, complaints, disputes, allegations, or claims. Any disclosure is a separate decision and will be appropriately limited or redacted where reasonable and permitted by law.

Inspection and assessment documentation

By scheduling an inspection or assessment visit, receiving this notice, and permitting our team to enter or access an area, the client authorizes SAFENEST and its employees, contractors, and subcontractors to photograph and make video recordings of property conditions, rooms, contents, fixtures, materials, access routes, equipment, and other items visible within the areas made accessible to the team. We may create and use this documentation as reasonably necessary to inspect, assess, measure, estimate, plan, perform, monitor, verify, explain, or defend our services; support safety, quality, insurance, claim, billing, dispute, and legal purposes; and protect the legitimate interests of the client, Company, employees, contractors, and subcontractors.

Photographs or video may incidentally capture personal belongings, documents, voices, or other details visible or audible in the accessible area. Before the visit begins, the client should secure sensitive items and identify any room, item, person, or area the client does not want recorded. We will make reasonable efforts to honor a requested limitation unless documentation is reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or the services requested.

Video may capture incidental ambient sound. Before intentionally recording a confidential conversation, we will provide notice and obtain the consent required by applicable law. Scheduling an inspection or assessment visit by itself is not consent to secretly record a confidential conversation.

Please avoid unnecessary sensitive information

We do not ask you to submit Social Security numbers, account passwords, medical information, or financial-account credentials through the Site. If we ask you to provide damage photos, they may incidentally show personal belongings or documents. Please share only what we specifically request.

Sources of information

We collect information directly from you and from people acting at your direction. We may also receive information through any lead-generation websites, including our websites, and from search, advertising, review, marketplace, referral, social-media, messaging, and other similar services.

Information received through these platforms may include your name, contact details, location, requested service, project description, timing, photos or videos, messages, platform or profile identifiers, referral source, advertising-attribution information, and other information you or the platform make available to us.

When relevant to a project, we may also receive information from property owners, tenants, insurers, adjusters, property managers, referral partners, emergency-service professionals, subcontractors, or technology providers that help us operate our communications and website.

How we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to calls, texts, emails, form submissions, and requests for help, including through AI-assisted phone and email communications.
  • Receive and acknowledge requested conversations, gather relevant project details, ask appropriate follow-up questions, maintain conversation continuity, prevent duplicate messages, and route inquiries to SAFENEST personnel for scheduling and follow-through.
  • Assess urgency, schedule visits, prepare estimates, and provide restoration or mitigation services.
  • Document property conditions, work performed, equipment use, communications, and project progress.
  • Coordinate with insurers, adjusters, property managers, vendors, or other parties you authorize.
  • Process transactions, maintain business records, and provide customer support.
  • Send service-related updates and, where permitted, information about related services. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve our Site, communications, and services.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, safety incidents, and other unlawful activity.
  • Protect the safety, security, legal rights, legitimate business interests, and reputations of the Company and its owners, employees, contractors, and subcontractors. This may include investigating and responding to suspected fraud, threats, harassment, impersonation, misuse, false or misleading factual claims, disputes, complaints, or unlawful reputational harm; preserving relevant evidence; seeking correction or removal of unlawful content; and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
  • Retain relevant customer communications and associated records for complaint handling, dispute resolution, evidence preservation, and the other purposes described in the “How long we retain information” section, only to the extent permitted by applicable law and for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, insurance, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

SAFENEST Restoration Lead Communication Integration

SAFENEST operates an internal, human-supervised lead-response and coordination system solely for its own customer communications. The system is not a public marketplace, customer account portal, or customer relationship management service offered to other businesses.

The system may use automated rules, AI-based voice phone assistants, AI-based email assistants, other AI-based tools, and service providers to receive inquiry and conversation context made available through any lead-generation websites, including our websites; classify and organize an inquiry; acknowledge a request; gather relevant project details; assist with response wording; maintain conversation continuity; prevent duplicate messages; and route conversations to SAFENEST personnel.

An AI-based voice phone assistant may process inbound calls. An AI-based email assistant may process incoming email content and attachments, classify and summarize messages, draft or send service-related responses, ask follow-up questions, and route messages for human attention.

SAFENEST personnel supervise the workflow, receive alerts and escalations, and can take control of a conversation whenever personal attention is appropriate. Automated assistance supports and does not replace human judgment. The system does not make final decisions about insurance coverage, legal rights, or eligibility for emergency services.

The system supports conversations initiated by people who contact SAFENEST about our services and is not used for unrelated unsolicited outreach. You may continue communicating through the website or service where you contacted us or through SAFENEST’s published business channels.

Honest reviews remain protected

Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent anyone from publishing an honest opinion or truthful information about an experience with SAFENEST. We will not use personal information to unlawfully retaliate against or penalize a person for a lawful review, complaint, report, or exercise of a legal right.

When we disclose or share information

We may disclose personal information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to:

  • Service providers and contractors that support website hosting, telephone and email communications, speech-to-text processing, call routing, file storage, scheduling, payments, accounting, customer support, security, and restoration operations. These may include customer relationship management (CRM) software, data-processing services, task- and project-management applications, photo and file storage applications, AI-based assistants, and similar providers.
  • Parties you authorize, such as an insurer, adjuster, property manager, property owner, tenant, consultant, attorney, or repair professional.
  • Advertising and marketing partners, such as advertising networks, analytics providers, social-media platforms, and campaign-measurement providers. We may allow these parties to receive identifiers, device and internet activity, approximate location derived from an IP address, commercial information, and related inferences for audience creation, campaign measurement, personalized advertising, and cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Government, regulatory, or legal recipients when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of our services.
  • Professional advisers, such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants, when reasonably necessary to support our business, comply with obligations, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Transaction participants in connection with a potential or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Third-party service providers may receive, process, transmit, or store personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide services to us, subject to their agreements with us and applicable law. Our use of a service provider to operate our business is not a sale of personal information.

We do not sell personal information. We may “share” limited personal information with advertising and marketing partners, as that term is defined under applicable privacy laws, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share restoration photos, claim documents, payment-card credentials, or sensitive personal information for these advertising purposes. We do not knowingly share personal information belonging to anyone under 16.

Website technology

Our hosting and security providers may use server logs, cookies, pixels, tags, software-development tools, or similar technologies to deliver, protect, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Site.

We may also use analytics, advertising, social-media, and campaign-measurement technologies. These technologies can recognize a browser or device, observe interactions with the Site, connect activity across websites or services, build audiences, measure advertising results, and help deliver personalized advertising. Where required, we provide notice and a method to opt out of sharing associated with these technologies.

How long we retain information

We retain personal information, including customer communications and associated records that we lawfully retain, only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Customer communications may include call recordings, transcripts, summaries, voicemails, text/SMS or multimedia/MMS messages, emails and attachments, website-form submissions, chat messages, social-media, messaging-app, or platform messages, notes, and other communications. Retention periods depend on the type of information, the status and duration of a requested conversation or project, scheduling and customer-support needs, delivery or security issues, warranty or dispute considerations, and legal, licensing, tax, accounting, insurance, contractual, and recordkeeping requirements.

Employment applicant information

When a person submits information through the Join Our Team form or otherwise contacts SAFENEST about employment, we may collect and retain the information the applicant provides. This may include the applicant’s name, telephone number, email address, city, position or work area of interest, employment or trade experience, qualifications, availability, additional information, and related communications.

We use applicant information to receive and review expressions of interest, evaluate qualifications for current or reasonably anticipated opportunities, communicate with applicants, arrange and conduct interviews, verify information when appropriate and permitted, maintain recruiting records, improve our recruiting process, comply with applicable law, and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights or claims. Submitting applicant information does not guarantee an interview or employment.

Applicant information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes. The retention period may depend on whether a position is currently available, whether the applicant may be considered for a reasonably anticipated future opportunity, the status of the recruiting process, communications with the applicant, and applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, insurance, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping requirements. SAFENEST may retain information for future opportunities where the applicant requests or reasonably expects that consideration, subject to applicable law.

This section does not give SAFENEST an unlimited right to retain applicant information indefinitely or eliminate an applicant’s privacy rights. An applicant may request access, correction, or deletion as described in the “Your choices and privacy requests” section. A request may be subject to exceptions, limitations, or other permissions provided by applicable law. If continued retention is permitted or required, SAFENEST will limit the information’s use and retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for the permitted purpose. Applicant information is not sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Communications relating to complaints, disputes, allegations, or reputational issues

A request to delete personal information or communications may be subject to exceptions, limitations, or other permissions provided by applicable law. During or following a communication, circumstances may reasonably indicate an existing or potential complaint, dispute, allegation, claim, or reputational issue. Relevant signs may include:

  • A complaint or potential complaint.
  • Dissatisfaction with our services, employees, representations, pricing, work, or communications.
  • A disagreement or dispute.
  • An allegation or potential allegation concerning what was said, promised, represented, authorized, or performed.
  • A threat or indication of a negative or disparaging public statement, review, complaint, demand, claim, or other allegation.

When the circumstances reasonably indicate an existing or potential dispute, complaint, allegation, claim, or reputational issue, SAFENEST may retain the relevant communications and associated records notwithstanding a deletion request, but only where and to the extent permitted by applicable California and U.S. law and only for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purposes.

Subject to those limits, relevant communications and associated records may be retained as reasonably necessary to:

  1. Maintain an accurate record of communications and events.
  2. Investigate and respond to complaints, disputes, reviews, allegations, or claims.
  3. Establish what information, representations, instructions, authorizations, or statements were actually exchanged.
  4. Protect SAFENEST, its employees, representatives, and business against false, misleading, inaccurate, or disparaging claims or allegations.
  5. Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and other rights.
  6. Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, insurance, contractual, or recordkeeping obligations.

This provision does not give SAFENEST an unlimited right to retain information indefinitely, eliminate a customer’s deletion rights, or create a categorical exception from applicable privacy law. If we retain information after a deletion request, we will limit the retention and use to the purpose or purposes permitted by applicable law, retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, and delete other personal information covered by the request unless another lawful basis permits its retention.

Retention of a recording, transcript, message, or other communication for evidentiary or dispute-resolution purposes does not necessarily mean that SAFENEST will publicly disclose it or the customer’s personal information. Retention and public disclosure are separate issues. Any disclosure will be evaluated separately, appropriately limited or redacted where reasonable, and made only when permitted by applicable law and consistent with the “When we disclose or share information” section.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, de-identify, or securely isolate it, subject to technical limitations such as backup cycles.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use care when sending sensitive information and contact us if you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure.

California privacy rights

California residents may have the following rights when the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to a business and the information at issue:

  • The right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients.
  • The right to request deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions, limitations, and other permissions provided by applicable law.
  • The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • The right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information.
  • The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information. We may share identifiers, commercial information, internet or electronic-network activity, approximate location derived from an IP address, and related inferences with advertising networks, analytics providers, social-media platforms, and other marketing partners for advertising, audience creation, attribution, and campaign measurement. We do not share restoration photos, claim documents, payment-card credentials, or sensitive personal information for advertising purposes.

We use sensitive personal information, if any is provided in connection with a restoration project or employment application, only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide requested services, evaluate the application, maintain safety, comply with law, or support other purposes permitted by law.

Your choices and privacy requests

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. The preferred way to opt out of sharing, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, is to use the privacy-request form below and select “Opt out of sale or sharing.” You do not need to create an account to submit an opt-out request.

Preferred submission method: Use the form below for requests to know, access, correct, delete, limit, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. The form helps SAFENEST route the request, identify the relevant records, and maintain a clear submission record.

Submit a privacy request

If you cannot use the form, you may instead email privacy@safenest.com or call (650) 514-1616. Please identify the type of request and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. A deletion request may be subject to exceptions, limitations, or other permissions provided by applicable law, including where information may lawfully be retained for the purposes described in the “How long we retain information” section. We will evaluate each request based on the information and law applicable to that request; this policy does not create a categorical exception from deletion.

If applicable law permits us to deny a deletion request in whole or in part, we will retain and use the affected information only for the purpose or purposes supporting that retention, for as long as reasonably necessary, and will delete other personal information covered by the request unless another lawful basis permits its retention. Where required, we will explain whether we complied with the request and the basis for any full or partial denial.

To protect you, we may verify a request by matching information you provide with information already associated with you, such as your name, contact information, service address, project details, or applicant information. We will use verification information only for the request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of authorization and may confirm your identity directly.

You may opt out of promotional email by using an unsubscribe link, if provided, or by contacting us. You may opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP. Service-related communications may continue when needed to respond to or complete a request.

Where legally required, we will process a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sharing for the browser or device sending the signal and for any profile we can reasonably associate with it.

Children’s privacy

Our Site and services are intended for property owners, occupants, and other adults seeking restoration assistance. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time without advance or individual notification, except when applicable law requires additional notice or consent. The revised policy will be posted on this page, the “Last updated” date will be changed, and the revision will become effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. You are responsible for reviewing this page periodically for changes.
