The story of SAFENEST Restoration began in 2014, when our founder, Mikhail “Mike” Sidorov, built his first single-family home. Although the business evolved and his professional path changed over the years, one thing remained constant: a dedication to construction and the pursuit of excellence at every stage of the work.
In 2020, that journey continued in the San Francisco Bay Area with small home-improvement projects. In 2021, Mike earned his general contractor’s license and began taking on larger projects, helping homeowners bring their ideas to life by improving and remodeling the most important place in their lives: home.
As the business grew, it operated under different names. It began as Original Construction. Later, when the company became focused on helping people recover after water damage, it became Water’s Fault. The name made sense for a water-damage restoration company—but over time, we realized something important:
Actually, it was never water’s fault. Water simply does what water does. The true cause is often a damaged roof, a leaking window or door, a plumbing failure, a broken appliance, or an accident. Later we earned a license in fire-damage restoration, and the name Water’s Fault began to make even less sense.
As we grew stronger, we developed a clearer vision for the future and began searching for a name that truly represented who we are. We wanted our name to reflect our mission, our values, and the way we care for people during some of the most difficult moments they may face as homeowners. With the help of our partners, we are proud to carry the name SAFENEST® Restoration today.
